Power Ombre' & Microblading

What is semi-permanent makeup?

A form of permanent cosmetics, micro-pigmentation, microblading, microstroking, eyebrow embroidery, etc, are all different names of

the same procedure- cosmetic semi-permanent tattoo where a color is placed into the skin with hand tools or machine device by using a specialized and sterile needle, blade, specially formulated pigment is deposited under the dermal layer of the skin. It is a soft layering technique that gives ultimate control to the artist to create the most natural looking brows, lips

One technique involves a hand tool, similar to the technique used for microblading, and the other technique uses a specialized digital micropigmentation machine. Using both hairstrokes as well as shading, you can achieve a more filled-in fuller look that lasts longer than microblading. Clients of all ages find that the combination of shading and  hairstrokes can be ideal because it will stay within their skin longer between touch-ups while still maintaining the natural look that they desire.

Microblading method

Microblading is done manually with a specialized hand tool that delivers individual hairstrokes. It deposits pigment into the top layer of the dermis, right underneath the superficial epidermis layers. This technique is done by “scratching” on each individual hair stroke with a hand tool and then filling in a with pigment chosen specifically for each individual client. It gives the most natural-looking results for Men and Women by fill in sparse brows or create an entire brow. However, results are much shorter lasting compared to other methods. Clients looking for results to last for years between touch-ups may not be happy with microblading.

Ombre Power method

Instead of creating hair strokes eyebrow like Microblading, this technique is done by shading in the eyebrows with a machine which gives a soft shaded brow pencil look. Starting from lighter at the front of the brow and going darker towards the tail. Once healed, it is more natural looking than solid color. It gives great definition and depth to the brows. This is one of the longest lasting methods of micropigmentation and ensures no bare spots on your client’s brows. This can be intimidating for clients, for fear it will look fake.

Micropigmentation method

This technique can be done in two different ways. One technique involves a hand tool that used for microblading, and the other technique uses a specialized digital micropigmentation machine.

What is the difference between semi-permanent and permanent makeup?

PERMANENT MAKEUP:

- Is involves eyeliner, lip tattoos, or eyebrow tattoos which gives you long-lasting results, allowing you to save time on your everyday makeup routine.

- Permanent cosmetics pigment is deposited deeper into the dermal layer of the skin using a needle to recreate the look of eyeliner, lip linear, or fully done eyebrows. It is a more aggressive application resulting in more pain and potential scarring. This should be done by a professional artist, who will use specialized equipment to make for a safer experience.

- Lasts between 5-10 years. The results are harsh and indelibly irreversible.

- Due to the body's chemistry (acidity) of the of the skin there is a high chance of pigment to gradually change colors.

SEMI-PERMANENT OMBRE BROWS:

- Pigments are deposited very superficially into the skin using only a single needle.

- Last between 1-3 years. Touch ups are necessary to maintain color vibrancy and shape definition because the sun is the skins enemy.

- Pigment is deposited between the epidermis and the dermis therefore the pigment will fade as your skin naturally exfoliates.

- Discomfort level is less for ombre brows compared to permanent makeup or the microblading technique

- Color will lighten and fade out before it has a chance to change to a primal color (blue or red).

- Healed results are more predictable than microblading.
